Health & Wellness at Acadia

The Key to Student Success: Personal Wellness

Support for both mental and physical wellness is available on the Acadia University campus and throughout the Acadia community.

The Acadia Student Health Services, located in the basement of Dennis House, offers physician services to Acadia students.

The Acadia Student Resource Centre, located in the basement of the Old SUB, offers individual and group counselling services to Acadia students.

Acadia's Accessible Learning Services organize accommodations for students with disabilities or health conditions that impact their learning.

In the case of emergency, please contact Acadia Safety & Security at 902-585-1103 or call 911.

  • A physically active lifestyle improves your stress tolerance.
  • When you exercise, your body releases chemicals that improve your mood. It is not unusual to feel somewhat euphoric and energetic for up to 48 hours after an exercise session!
  • Being physically active improves self-confidence and often allows you to release frustration, stress and anxiety in a postive way!
